Delivering it yourself

On the Shop plan you deliver orders yourself, in your own car or van, without rounds or a driver app. Your day shows today’s work as two lists, and you mark each order done from there.

On Yard and above, orders go on rounds instead. See Rounds. You can still mark the odd order delivered by hand from the order itself.

To deliver today lists the orders going out to customers, grouped by your delivery areas. An address no delivery area covers is grouped by its postcode district, such as YO7. For each order you see:

  • who it is for, their address and their phone number, which you can press to call
  • what they want
  • what they are bringing back, such as empty cylinders
  • the cash to take, if they are paying at the door

An order is on the list from the day it is wanted until it is done. One left over from an earlier day is marked Late. Orders you have already done today stay on the list, ticked.

To collect today lists the customers coming to your yard to collect.

Above the lists you also see how many orders were taken today, and the money taken.

Press Print run sheet for the same day on one page, in the same style as your invoices, with your name and logo. Each stop has a box to tick, what goes in, what comes back and the cash to take. Take it with you in the car.

Press Mark delivered on the order once it is done. Where empty cylinders could come back, Bottle asks how many did, filled in with what the order expected. Change the number if more or fewer came back, then press Mark delivered.

For a customer collecting from your yard, press Mark collected the same way.

Marking an order done works the same as on the order itself: the stock leaves your yard, the empties come back into it, any deposit owed back is recorded, and the order is invoiced if it is on account.

An order paid in cash shows Take £… in cash. When you have the money, press Paid at the door. The order is marked paid in cash. On Shop there is no Cash page for drivers’ takings, so count your own till as usual.

Your customer’s tracking page shows the day their order is expected, and Delivered once you have marked it. There is no van to follow on a map, and nothing about a driver.

Your stock is kept, and customers collect, at Your yard, made from your business address. See it, and change its address, under Business settings, Delivery.
